The main idea

When you set a finish date, Firefly automatically marks the book as read, sets progress to 100% and shows it in the calendar on the finish date.

How to add a previously read book

1. Open Add book or a Firefly recommendation.
2. Choose “Read previously”.
3. Select the finish date.
4. Confirm adding the book.

How to update a book already in your library

1. Open the book details.
2. Tap “Edit”.
3. Open the “Progress” tab.
4. Set the reading finish date.
5. Save the changes.

What appears in the calendar

The book will appear on its finish date. Firefly does not create artificial reading days between the start and finish dates.

If the book is already in your library

Firefly does not create a duplicate. It shows that the book is already in your library and opens its card.

This guide uses simple language. If you see a ? button in the app, open it — it usually contains a short explanation without technical jargon.
