• A bookshelf instead of a plain grid. A shelf can look like a real bookcase, with tiers, niches, and room for decoration.
• Style it to match the mood. Wood, autumn, horror, winter, or Lumi Forest — choose the atmosphere that fits your shelf.
• Books can look different. Covers, spines, stacks, or a mixed layout; arrange them in rows or as a showcase.
• Arrange it your way. In edit mode, books can be swapped and moved into open slots.
• Use a real spine photo. Add your own photo of a book spine. If you do not have one, Firefly creates a stylized version.
• Take the shelf full screen. Browse shelves in full screen, switch with swipes, and scroll through every tier.

Status: internal testing. The look and some details may still change before public release.

Choose how long you would like to read today, and Firefly will help you keep an eye on the time. When the countdown reaches 00:00, you do not have to stop — you can keep reading and finish the session when it feels right.

Your real reading time stays accurate, so the statistics remember what you actually read, not just the goal you originally set.

• Child Mode. A separate reading space for young readers, with its own library, calendar, recommendations, stats, and reading highlights.
• Parent Guard. Helps grown-ups gently manage sensitive actions: allow them, ask for confirmation, or block them completely.
• Safer where it matters. Sharing, Community, Awards, and notifications now behave more carefully when a child profile is active.
• A more attentive book search. “Find for me” understands titles and authors better, handles ISBN more carefully, and finds the right edition more easily.
• A little more calm inside. Firefly feels steadier in the small everyday moments — from startup to the usual paths through the app.

For now, Child Mode lives on one Android device: child profiles and parental rules do not yet move between devices.

• Standard icons are now used by default.
• Icons across Statistics, Achievements, Shelves, and other screens have been refreshed.
• Lumi’s branded icons are still here — you can turn them on in Settings.
• A one-time introduction now lets you discover Firefly’s branded icon style.

A few small visual inconsistencies have also been tidied up.

• The reading-session timer now adapts better to different screen sizes and system text settings.
• Fixed a case where the time could wrap onto two lines.
• A few small stability and display improvements.

“What should I read?” now has a place of its own.

• Lumi can help choose. Your next book can come from your own library or the Firefly catalog.
• Reading taste. Genres, authors, favorite books, and reactions help make future suggestions more personal.
• For today. Choose a genre, author, shelf, length, books added long ago, or a mood.
• Book Jar. Build your own pool and let Lumi draw one book at random.
• Pick of the Day and history. Firefly remembers earlier picks and tries not to show the same thing every time.
• More age-aware recommendations. Suggestions consider the reader’s age and the book’s intended audience; for child profiles, books with an unknown audience or adult titles are filtered more cautiously.

• Share Pro is a separate optional one-time module. It expands Quote Studio, adds DOCX/PDF/Markdown for notes, richer statistics exports, Library CSV, and sharing for monthly and yearly summaries. Purchases can be restored, and a promo code can be redeemed when you have one.
• Basic quote sharing, Notes TXT, and the core and text-based statistics sharing options remain available without Share Pro. The new module adds more tools; it does not take away what was already there.
• Calendar Pro is for the calendar’s extended features and customization. Share Pro is for richer sharing and export. They are two separate one-time purchases: buying one does not unlock the other, and neither is a subscription.
• Calendar Pro and Share Pro each have their own presentation screen, showing what is included and the current price directly from Google Play. You can buy or restore a module there, while clear messages explain a pending purchase, successful activation, restore, an error, or temporary unavailability.
• You can open the modules from Premium Hub or when you reach a feature that belongs to one of them. Firefly does not show a paywall popup at launch. The home screen may only show a quiet Calendar Pro or Share Pro card, and it disappears once both modules are active. After a successful purchase, Firefly confirms access and takes you back to where you started.

The monthly summary brings together finished books, pages, reading time, active days, ratings, and favourite covers. Previous months stay available in the archive. The yearly summary looks back at the whole reading year, and at year’s end Firefly lights a jar of book fireflies: one finished book, one light.
