Guide to the updated Firefly library: list and grid views, sizes, Bookshelf style and manual ordering of books and shelves.

Step 1

What changed

You can view the library as a list or a grid. Tiles are available in S, M, L sizes and in two styles: detailed tile and “Bookshelf”.

Shelves also have their own presentation, mini cover collages, pinning and manual ordering.

Step 2

How to change the library view

  1. Open the Library.
  2. In the controls at the top, choose List or Grid.
  3. If Grid is enabled, choose S, M or L size.
  4. If needed, switch between Detailed tile and Bookshelf styles.
Step 3

How to reorder shelves

  1. Open the “Shelves” screen.
  2. Tap “Reorder shelves”.
  3. A ↕ drag handle will appear on each shelf.
  4. Press and hold it, then drag the shelf.
  5. Tap “Done”.

In normal mode, the handles are hidden to keep the screen cleaner.

Step 4

How to reorder books on a shelf

  1. Open a shelf.
  2. In sorting, choose “Manual order”.
  3. Press and hold the ↕ handle on a book and drag it.
  4. Firefly will remember the order specifically for that shelf.
Step 5

Statuses and shelves

“Reading”, “Want to read”, “Read” and “Library” are book statuses. Custom shelves remain separate collections. This helps the library and statistics count books correctly.
